Teachers
Teacher training on eating disorders
For: teachers and other school staff
The aim of our training is to support the staff at your school with prevention training to staff on eating disorders and early intervention. In this training session your staff will be able to increase their understanding and ability to respond to at risk students. Some of the themes covered in our program include:
- Identifying different types of eating disorders and disordered eating, and how these issues develop
- To identify how to spot the early signs of an eating disorder and how to respond
- Knowing how to approach a student of concern, alongside strategies for successful intervention
- To realise the importance of adults in the mix

Parents
How to support your child’s relationship with food, exercise and body image?
For: parents
This workshop is aimed at parents and the overall aim is to empower parents to feel confident in talking to their child about body image and food. Also to recognise the influence of social media on body image and eating habits. Some other key themes include:
- Recognising how important nutrition is to all aspects of health and wellbeing including mental health
- To identify the spectrum of behaviours from healthy to unhealthy, to disordered eating through to eating disorders
- To realise the power of role modelling positive body image and healthy behaviours.
This session is help by Jenny Tomei (Qualified Eating Disorder Coach NCFED and Nutritional Therapist along with Becky Stone (Qualified Psychotherapist, Eating Disorder Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, BCAP Life Coach with a specialism in working with adolescents (BACP, NCFED, Accredited NCS).

How To Support Your Children With Eating Disorders In Recovery

- Understanding the recovery process from an eating disorder
- Exploring what to say and what not to say to someone in recovery from an eating disorder
- Exploring supportive language

Let your body be itself
For: young people aged 13-18 years
This workshop has been created for those aged 13-18 years, its aim being to help students to understand how important nutrition is to all aspects of health, and wellbeing, including mental health. Our workshop will empower students to seek help for themselves and for others. Some of the themes covered include:
- Identifying different types of eating, along with disordered eating
- Risk factors of dieting
- Challenging cultural ideals on social media
- How to support body positivity
- Exploring your own relationships with food and exercise

Your Second Brain: The Impact of Gut Health on our Overall Digestive Health and Wellness
For: young people aged 13-18 years
This workshop is aimed at 13-18 years old. We’ll explore the crucial role a healthy gut plays in our overall well-being, from digestion and nutrient absorption to immune function and mental health. Students will learn about the gut microbiome and how it influences various aspects of our health.
Students will also learn how disordered eating and dieting can affect our overall gut health.
- Understand of the gut microbiome and its crucial role in overall health, including digestion, immunity, and mental well-being.
- Understand how diet, lifestyle, and environmental factors influence gut health
- To recognise the side effects of dieting and eating disorders on the gut microbiome
- Discover the importance of a balanced diet rich in fiber, prebiotics, and probiotics. They will learn how to incorporate gut-friendly foods into their daily meals and snacks.
This session is held by Jenny Tomei (Qualified Eating Disorder Therapist NCFED and Nutritional Therapist, and Trainee Counsellor (BACP, NCFED).

Jenny’s Tomei’s recovery story from Anorexia: Awareness talk
For: students
Jenny Tomei is a Nutritional Therapist, Eating Disorder Coach and Personal Trainer. Jenny suffered with Anorexia for over 6 years and now her passion is to help educate teachers, parents and students on how to spot the early signs of an eating disorder, and most importantly to enable students to feel empowered to do something about it. Jenny will speak about her recovery journey, and how she managed to overcome her challenges.

Weight Loss Drugs: Everything You Need To Know
For: young people aged 13-18 years
This workshop has been created for those aged 13-18 years. This session will explore the physical, psychological, and social dangers of using these medications without proper medical supervision. We’ll discuss the potential side effects, including severe health complications and the impact on mental health.
They will learn about the importance of seeking professional medical advice and the dangers of obtaining these drugs from unregulated sources. This session aims to educate and empower young people to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
Some outcomes include:
- To understand the potential physical and psychological side effects of weight loss drugs.
- To understand the dangers of self medication or obtaining drugs from unregulated sources
- Examine the importance of a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, including a balanced diet, regular exercises, and lifestyle changes.
- Recogise and develop critical thinking skills to evaluate the marketing and advertising of weight loss products.

This workshop is created for all age group from age 13 upwards, and the aim is to help students to gain a better understanding of how to fuel their body for performance. Also to understand the side effects of under-eating and over-exercising on the body. Some themes covered in this workshop include:
- How to eat for performance
- What is the difference between an eating disorder and disordered eating?
- The side effects of under-eating and over-training on our general health and performance (my own story)
- What is RED-S? (Relative Energy Deficit Syndrome)
- What is orthorexia?
- Strategies for improving body image and reducing body comparisons
- Perfectionism and disordered eating
