How I Can Help

Working with an eating disorder specialist offers real, tangible benefits. My approach focuses on long-term recovery, helping you:

  • Break free from restrictive or compulsive eating patterns
  • Heal your relationship with food and your body

  • Restore physical wellbeing and balanced nutrition
  • Reconnect with joy, purpose and confidence.

My evidence-based methods integrate nutritional therapy, behaviour change strategies, and emotional support to ensure every aspect of your recovery is addressed.

During our sessions, I go into detail on specialist areas around eating disorders, exercise, and provide education around the following areas:

  • Healthy eating: how to find the right balance and develop flexible thinking
  • Metabolism
  • How much energy the body needs to sustain itself
  • Nutrition around hormones (why healthy fats are important)
  • Interoceptive awareness in autism: understanding hunger and fullness cues and how this can make recovery more complicated
  • Targeting black-and-white thinking: looking at ways to increase flexibility in thinking
  • Thoughts around exercise, and how to have a healthy relationship with exercise – one that is balanced and not obsessive
  • How to fuel the body efficiently for exercise
  • Understanding the importance of rest days.

I strongly believe that knowledge is power; the more you can teach yourself and learn about yourself, the greater the chances are of recovery.

In their own words

Teenage Client

I found Jenny while recovering from an eating disorder and was very hesitant about eating properly again. After our first consultation, she gave me the confidence to begin a healthy, gradual weight gain plan. With weekly check-ins and daily meal feedback through an app, she kept me supported and on track. Thanks to her, I'm now at a healthy weight, still following the plan, and finally able to exercise again. I highly recommend her.

Teenage Client

I was still losing weight without having that intention and was allowing a fear of weight gain to completely dominate my life…

Mother of Teenage Client

Many therapists have a huge long list of qualifications and abbreviations. This doesn’t mean that these hyper-qualified therapists will connect and have empathy with your fragile and beloved teenager…

Teenage Client

I came to you because I was in a really negative mind space, I was constantly thinking and stressing about food and my appearance… and had lost all perspective about what was important to me…

Mother of Teenage Client

The first therapist I chose wasn’t an eating disorder specialist. (Mistake number one.) Because of this, she did most of the talking and pushed our daughter too quickly for change which backfired and caused her condition to dramatically worsen.
